Lions vs. Seahawks live updates: NFL scores, game stats, news, injuries, highlights, and where to watch 'MNF'

In Week 4, the 3-0 Seattle Seahawks faced the 2-1 Detroit Lions on "Monday Night Football." Both teams were dealing with injuries, but Detroit took advantage of their opponents' injuries in the first half and led 21-7 at halftime.

Detroit was missing safety Brian Branch, who is the team's leading tackler with 22 tackles. He was placed on the injury report due to an illness and was inactive for Monday night's game. All-Pro center Frank Ragnow was ruled out earlier in the week due to a pectoral muscle injury. Left guard Graham Glasgow, who has 38 career starts at center, started at center in Ragnow's absence.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks' front seven was decimated by injury before kickoff. Defensive tackle Byron Murphy II (hamstring), edge rusher Leonard Williams (ribs), edge rusher Boye Mafe (knee), edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu (knee), and linebacker Jerome Baker (hamstring) were all out tonight. All but Baker were ruled out earlier in the week.

Detroit's offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, was strategic in his play-calling, taking advantage of the weakened Seahawks' defense. The team gained 88 rushing yards on 16 carries, with David Montgomery rushing for 42 yards and scoring a touchdown, and Jahmyr Gibbs rushing for 46 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Lions' quarterback Jared Goff effectively managed the game, completing all 12 of his passes for 92 yards in the first half. Detroit dominated the ground game, out-rushing Seattle by 70 yards, with a total of 88 yards compared to Seattle's 18.

The Seahawks allowed the Lions to score their second touchdown when Lions linebacker Jack Campbell knocked the football out of Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf's arms after he had already picked up the first down. Detroit cornerback Carlton Davis picked up the loose ball at the Lions' 37 and returned it 49 yards before being pushed out of bounds by Seattle running back Kenneth Walker II, 14 yards from the end zone. Gibbs then scored his first of two touchdowns from three yards out.

Metcalf redeemed himself after his fumble by making a 29-yard completion down to the one, beating Lions cornerback Carlton Davis in the process. Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III then scored a one-yard touchdown. Most of Seattle's offense was led by quarterback Geno Smith, who threw for 165 yards on 17 of 24 passing. Walker scored a touchdown with 6 yards on 4 carries, while Smith added 12 yards on a quarterback draw just before halftime.
