SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- Diamond Sports Group's channels will soon be known as FanDuel Sports Network.
Diamond Sports Group, which is in bankruptcy proceedings, and FanDuel announced the move Friday. The Diamond channels had been known as Bally Sports since baseball's opening day in 2021. The name change will take place Oct. 21.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Diamond Sports has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in the Southern District of Texas since filing for protection in March 2023. In a financial report last year, the company said it had $8.67 billion in debt.
Bally Sports' regional networks are the TV home of eight Major League Baseball teams, eight NFL teams and 13 NBA teams.
Starting next week, Diamond's 16 regional sports channels will all be named FanDuel Sports Network.
FanDuel TV will show its offerings such as the "Up & Adams" show with host Kay Adams, other sports betting shows and other content such as horse racing and Euroleague basketball across Diamond's regional sports networks.
Diamond CEO David Preschlack said the partnership will "enhance the fan experience and deepen the value we provide to our teams, leagues and distribution partners."
Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel's president of sports, said the partnership puts the company's name in front of the largest group of regional sports networks in the country.
