UFC 308 Start Time - Ilya Topuria vs. Max Holloway: Live Stream, PPV Price, Where to Watch, TV Channels
UFC 308 features one of the best matchups the main event has ever seen. Featherweight champion Ilya Topuria looks to defend his title against former champion and current "BMF" titleholder Max Holloway on Saturday at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Topuria won the title in February via a brutal knockout of long-time defending champion Alexander Volkanovsky. Topuria has a career record of 15-0 with five knockouts and eight submissions. Holloway, on the other hand, is one of the legends of the sport. He faces an opponent in the Octagon and looks to regain his title for the first time since losing it to Volkanovski in 2019.
In addition to the main event, the card is packed with some of the best talent in the region and around the world. The co-main event could see a new title contender emerge with the clash between Chamjat Chimayev and Robert Whittaker. Long touted as a future star and champion, Chimayev finally got his chance to shine after a series of illnesses and injuries slowed his progress. Chimaev burst onto the scene in 2020 when he scored two wins by stoppage in a 10-day span. However, he has only fought three times since April 2022. He faces former champion Whittaker, who continues to work professionally. Whittaker is 3-1 since losing his rematch with Israel Adesanya for the 2022 middleweight title.
Additionally, Magomed Anklayev could crown another future light heavyweight title contender when he fights Aleksandar Rakic. Anklaev has been at the top of the light heavyweight rankings for some time, but an ugly performance against Jan Blachowicz in 2022 has dissuaded UFC boss Dana White from giving him a chance to fight for the belt a second time. Now Anklaev will need to impress on Saturday against a tough opponent with tremendous power to potentially secure a fight against Alex Pereira in 2025.
